The 4th International Conference on Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Systems (ICPERES-2025)) seeks to gather researchers, scientists, engineers, and scholars to share their insights, innovative concepts, and research outcomes specifically related to Power Electronics and Renewable Energy.
In addition to the discussions during the conference, ample opportunities will be available for interaction with professionals and researchers to share the operational experiences and views on the key issues in electric energy, power engineering, power electronics technology, power communication, smart grid, micro grid, and advanced computing.
The selected original papers presented in the conference will be published in Springer series “Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering” (LNEE) [Pending Approval] which is Scopus indexed.
Awards will be given for the best research paper.
Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi was established in the year 2009 by Govt. of Odisha and is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha.
The Institute is located at Bhawanipatna, the district headquarters of Kalahandi. It offers B.Tech program in four disciplines; Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Elec trical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech in Power System Engineering and Thermal Engineering.
The Department of Electrical Engineering is accredited with National Board of Accreditation.
The Institute is also recognised as the Nodal Centre of research by BPUT for conducting Ph.D programme. With a dedicated faculty and modern facilities, the Institute strives to prepare students for successful careers while contributing to regional development and addressing local challenges through research and community engagement.
The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2009. Presently, the Department offers B. Tech program in Electrical Engineering with an intake of 60 students and M. Tech program in Power System Engineering with an intake of 18 students.
The Department has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi (NBA). It also offers Ph.D programme in diversified area of Electrical Engineering.
The department is distinguished by its team of dedicated faculty members, who possess extensive experience across a variety of specializations, including Power Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Communication Systems, Control Systems, and Embedded and VLSI Design. A significant number of research papers have been published by our faculty members and students in reputed journals across various fields of Electrical Engineering. Investments in modern facilities have created an excellent learning environment with advanced laboratories for Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Control Systems, and more, supporting diverse student projects. The Department also promotes a dynamic student community through national-level techno-cultural activities “Insprano”.
